The newly opened hotel on Salalah Oman beaches implements Sky Software FBM system to manage its food, beverage and other materials from all aspects starting from purchasing and approval workflow, passing through goods receiving, internal requisitions and transfers, materials inventories and spot checks, cost controlling, goods sales, POS interfacing and back office interfaces. The hotel implementation follows Rotana corporate standard codes and procedures incorporated in FBM database.

FBM was able to provide the resort with the optimal software tool to acquire full control over its materials, costs and inventory. In addition to automating purchasing and requisitions cycles.

Intensive training sessions were conducted for the F&B, Accounting, Materials, Housekeeping, Front Office and Engineering Departments by Sky Software’s Project Manager, Tawfeeq Abu-Ashour, who was keen to introduce the features of the new system and educate the staff on how to use it efficiently.

Rotana Salalah Resort has benefited from the advanced interface between FBM and Sun Back Office which facilitated the transferring of invoices, consumptions and inventory vouchers.

An interface between FBM and Salalah’s Restaurant Management System (Micros) was also implemented to easily import daily revenues and automatically deducted sold quantities from the various resort outlets.

Rotana Salalah was very satisfied with the flexibility of the new system and its advanced reporting capabilities, which met the resort’s requirements and needs.
